Promote Economic Growth and Job Creation!
Our economy has been dealt a terrible blow. Nearly 10% of Americans are out of work and small and mid-sized businesses are suffering. This is unacceptable. Quality jobs and the small and mid-sized businesses that create them provide the foundation for our economic well-being and for the prosperity of every American family. In order to promote economic growth and job creation, I will make it my mission to:
- Support the Keystone Pipeline.
- End the Moratorium of Offshore Drilling.
- Repeal ObamaCare.
- Repeal Dodd-Frank.
- Create a Sarbanes-Oxley exception for Small and Mid-Sized Businesses.
- Prevent SOPA/PIPA.
- Cut Taxes. Small business has led the way out of our last seven recessions, creating two out of every three jobs during a recovery. I propose we:
- Cut corporate tax rates immediately to drive economic growth and job creation.
- Permanently extend the 2001 & 2003 tax cuts to put more money of all American taxpayers. In a recession, we cannot raise taxes on the American people and the small and mid-sized businesses needed to pull us out of the economic downturn.
- Permanently repeal the death tax, which discourages savings and investment needed to drive economic growth.
- Prevent an increase in the energy tax which would directly harm economic growth and job creation in the 34th District.
- Rein in Government Spending and Reform Government Entitlements. The current rate of government spending is unsustainable and all government spending results in higher taxes eventually. In order to rein in government spending and promote economic growth and create new jobs, we need to reform entitlements which account for the largest portion of domestic government spending. The federal government needs to ensure that ever American has the freedom to economic opportunity, not redistribute wealth.
- End Cap & Trade.
Defend the Constitution and Prevent Excessive Government Expansion.
I believe that the United States of America is a nation built on the rule of law and founded the social contract that is the U.S. Constitution. The current administration believes in a living constitution and that expansion of the federal government is the cure to all society’s ills. I disagree. I was raised in the heart of Texas, where we believe in limited constitutional government, personal freedom, and personal responsibility. In order to protect our way of life, we need people in Washington, D.C. that will fight to:
- Defend the 10th Amendment and States’ Rights.
- Preserve Religious Freedom
- Protect the Right to Bear Arms.
- Preserve the Freedom of Speech.
- Prevent Voter Fraud.
- Defend U.S. Sovereignty. I believe that U.S. national sovereignty is absolute and needs to be protected. As a member of Congress I will:
- Promote Energy Independence.
- Oppose Overreaching by the United Nations.
- Protect Life.
- Secure Our Nation’s Borders.
